The Office for Students ran specific webinars to support providers in writing their access and participation plan for 2020-21.

The Office for Students recently ran specific workshops in London around access and participation plans. We repeated the sessions through webinars to enable all providers to access this information.

The areas covered are:

  • Target setting
  • Evaluation
  • Support for small, specialist and new providers.

Small, specialist and new providers

Tuesday 9 April, 1030 – 1200

This webinar was specifically for small, specialist and new providers. It covered different elements of the access and participation plans and provided guidance on how to submit an ambitious and credible plan.


Evaluation

Monday 15 April, 1030 – 1200

This webinar discussed planning approaches that underpin evaluation, such as logic chains and theories of change, and also looked in more detail at the evaluation self-assessment tool and how providers can strengthen their evidence.


Aims, objectives and targets

Monday 15 April, 1430 – 1600

This webinar explored the OfS's expectations related to the ambition of targets in access and participation. It also covered how to present targets in the targets and investment plan.


Assessment of performance

Tuesday 16 April, 1430 – 1600

This webinar focused on the assessment of performance requirement of access and participation plans.

It included some practical examples of using the access and participation plan dataset and addressed the OfS's expectations in relation to the access and participation plans themselves.
