Dashboard user guide

Examples

The following worked examples illustrate how to navigate a provider’s data in the interactive dashboard to find relevant information.

These examples are based on the sector level data (provider selected is ‘* All registered English higher education providers’). The same methods will apply to find data for individual providers.

  1. We will use the overview to look at commonly used characteristics.
  2. At the top of the dashboard select the ‘Progression’ stage of the student lifecycle.
  3. In the ‘Select a provider’ dropdown box (on the left) select ‘* All registered English higher education providers’.
  4. Select the full-time, first degree cell in the table in the left-hand banner.
  5. To see indicators for the time series charts, make sure you have selected the indicators view and time series. You can check this in the toggles on the left-hand side.
  6. To view the confidence intervals associated with each split please use the dropdown menus above each chart.
  7. To see gaps, make sure you are on the gaps view.
  8. For gaps charts that show a single gap, confidence intervals will automatically be displayed. For charts that show multiple gaps (such as the ethnicity chart) you can view the confidence intervals associated with each split by using the dropdown menu above the chart.
  1. We will use the overview.
  2. At the top of the dashboard select the ‘Continuation’ stage of the student lifecycle.
  3. In the ‘Select a provider’ dropdown box (on the left) select ‘* All registered English higher education providers’.
