2024
The London Interdisciplinary School was awarded new degree awarding powers (New DAPs) by the OfS on 18 December 2020 that took effect on 27 September 2021.
The OfS has now awarded The London Interdisciplinary School, time-limited full degree awarding powers (Full DAPs) to award taught degrees, up to and including level 7 (all subjects), to persons enrolled with it at the time they complete the course of study for which the award is granted, for a period of four years.
This authorisation means that The London Interdisciplinary School can grant all taught degrees (including foundation degrees, bachelors’ degrees and taught masters’ degrees), in all subjects, to persons enrolled with it at the time they complete the course of study for which the award is granted. This authorisation takes effect from 1 January 2025 and expires on 31 December 2028.
The Engineering and Design Institute London (previously TEDI-London) was awarded new degree awarding powers (New DAPs) by the OfS on 1 September 2021.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for The Engineering and Design Institute by extending the time limit by 12 months until 30 November 2025.
The effect of this authorisation is that The Engineering and Design Institute is authorised to grant the following specified taught awards for a time-limited period beginning on 1 December 2024 and expiring on 30 November 2025:
- BEng in global design engineering
- BEng (Hons) in global design engineering
- MEng in global design engineering
- CertHE in global design engineering
- DipHE in global design engineering.

The University of Law Limited was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers by the Privy Council in 2012. The powers were renewed on 27 November 2018 for a period of six years.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for the University of Law Limited by removing the time limit. This variation takes effect from 27 November 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable the University of Law Limited to continue to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelor’s degrees and taught masters’ degrees) on an indefinite basis.
Lamda Limited was awarded taught DAPs by the OfS on 1 August 2021.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for Lamda Limited by extending the time limit by two years until 31 October 2026. This variation takes effect from 1 November 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable Lamda Limited to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelors' degrees and taught masters' degrees) until this extension elapses on 31 October 2026.
TEC Partnership currently holds foundation degree awarding powers (DAPs) and bachelors' DAPs. It has held foundation DAPs since 1 August 2013 under sequential authorisations from both the Privy Council and the OfS. It has also held bachelors' DAPs since 1 August 2021. The OfS has varied this DAPs order for TEC Partnership by extending the time limit by two years until 30 October 2026. This variation takes effect from 31 October 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable TEC Partnership to continue to grant foundation and bachelors’ degrees until 30 October 2026.
The OfS has made an order awarding The Northern School of Art with time-limited full degree awarding powers (Full DAPs) to award taught degrees, up to and including Level 7 (all subjects) for a period of four years. This authorisation takes effect from 1 October 2024.
The effect of this authorisation is that The Northern School of Art can grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelor’s degrees and taught masters’ degrees) in all subjects for a time-limited period beginning on 1 October 2024 and expiring on 1 October 2028.
Regent’s University London Limited was awarded by the OfS authorisation to award taught degrees on a fixed-term basis beginning on 29 September 2020 and expiring on 31 August 2024.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for Regent’s University London Limited by removing the time limit. This variation takes effect from 1 September 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable Regent’s University London Limited to grant taught awards (up to and including Level 7) on an indefinite basis.
Luminate Education Group, formally known as Leeds City College, was awarded time-limited foundation degree awarding powers by the Privy Council on 27 March 2018. This order took effect from 1 September 2018 and expired on 31 August 2024.
With effect from 1 September 2024, the OfS has authorised Luminate Education Group to continue to award foundation degrees on an indefinite basis and to award bachelors’ degrees for a time-limited period expiring on 31 August 2028.
The OfS has made a new order for Luminate Education Group, instead of varying the Privy Council Order, to reflect the provider’s change of legal name.
The effect of this order is to enable Luminate Education Group to continue to award foundation degrees on an indefinite basis and award bachelors’ degrees for a period of four years.
Cornwall College was awarded time-limited foundation degree powers (DAPs) by Privy Council on 17 May 2018.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for Cornwall College by extending the time limit by two years until 15 May 2026. This variation takes effect from 16 May 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable Cornwall College to continue to grant foundation degrees until 15 May 2026.
Dyson Technical Training Limited was awarded new degree awarding powers (New DAPs) by the OfS on 1 September 2021.
The OfS has now awarded Dyson Technical Training Limited, which trades under the name the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, time-limited full degree awarding powers (Full DAPs) to award taught degrees, up to and including Level 7 (all subjects) for a period of three years and three months. This authorisation takes effect from 1 September 2024.
This authorisation means that Dyson Technical Training Limited can grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelors’ degrees and taught masters’ degrees) for a time-limited period beginning on 1 September 2024 and expiring on 30 November 2027.
The OfS has made an order awarding ESCP Europe Business School with full taught degree awarding powers (Full DAPs) on a subject specific basis.
The effect of this Full DAPs order is that ESCP Europe Business School is authorised to grant taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelors' degrees and taught masters’ degrees) in subjects relating to business and management, for a time-limited period beginning on 2 September 2024 and expiring on 2 December 2027.
Richmond, The American International University in London, Inc. was awarded time-limited degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 17 May 2018.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for Richmond, The American International University in London, Inc. by extending the time-limited authorisation by two years until 15 May 2026. This variation takes effect from 16 May 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable Richmond, The American International University in London, Inc. to continue to grant taught degrees until 15 May 2026.

2023
The OfS has made an order awarding Hult International Business School Ltd with full taught degree awarding powers (Full DAPs).
The effect of this Full DAPs order is that Hult International Business School Ltd is authorised to grant taught awards up to and including Level 7 for subjects related to business and management on a time-limited basis from 1 October 2023 and to 1 January 2027.

The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd was awarded New DAPs by the OfS on 26 September 2022.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd by authorising the provider to grant the following specified awards in addition to those already set out on the order:
- Interdisciplinary problems and methods (MASc)
- Interdisciplinary problems and methods (PGCert)
- Interdisciplinary problems and methods (PGDip)
This variation takes effect from 26 September 2023.
The effect of this variation is to enable The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd to grant awards which reflect its new programme titles on time-limited basis until 31 December 2024.

The OfS has made an order awarding The National Film and Television School with full taught degree awarding powers (Full DAPs) on a subject specific basis.
The effect of this Full DAPs order is that The National Film and Television School is authorised to grant taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelors' degrees and taught masters’ degrees) in subjects relating to design and creative and performing arts and media studies, for a time-limited period beginning on 9 January 2023 and expiring on 9 April 2026.

NCG was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 August 2016.
In July 2022 the OfS varied this order to extend the time limit for a period of two years to allow sufficient time for NCG to be assessed for indefinite degree awarding powers.
The OfS has now removed this time limit. The effect of this variation is to enable NCG to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelors' degrees and taught masters’ degrees) on an indefinite basis. This variation takes effect from 1 June 2023.
The OfS has made an order awarding the New Model Institute of Technology and Engineering with new taught degree awarding powers (New DAPs).
The effect of this New DAPs order is that the New Model Institute of Technology and Engineering is authorised to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelors' degrees and taught masters' degrees) for a probationary period beginning on 1 September 2023 and expiring on 30 November 2026.

The OfS has made an order awarding S P Jain London School of Management Limited with new degree awarding powers (New DAPs) for taught degrees.
The effect of this New DAPs order is that S P Jain London School of Management Limited is authorised to grant taught awards up to and including masters' level for subjects related to computing, and business and management for a probationary period beginning on 1 September 2023 and expiring on 30 November 2026.
2022
Blackpool and the Fylde College was awarded foundation degree awarding powers by the Privy Council on 13 September 2016.
We have now varied this DAPs order for Blackpool and the Fylde College by removing the time limit on the provider’s current foundation degree awarding powers and extending the level of authorisation to bachelors’ degrees for a time limited period of three years and three months. This variation takes effect from 13 September 2022.
The effect of this variation is to enable Blackpool and the Fylde College to continue to award foundation degrees on an indefinite basis and award bachelors’ degrees for a period of three years and three months.
Hull College was awarded time-limited foundation degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 January 2016.
We previously varied this DAPs order for Hull College to extend the time-limit to 31 December 2022.
We have now varied this DAPs order for Hull College by extending the time limit until 31 March 2026. This variation takes effect from 1 January 2023.
The effect of this variation is to enable Hull College to continue to grant foundation degrees until 31 March 2026.
The OfS has made an order awarding The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd with new degree awarding powers (New DAPs) for taught degrees.
The effect of this New DAPs order is that The London Interdisciplinary School Ltd is authorised to grant the following specified taught awards for a probationary period beginning on 26 September 2022 and expiring on 31 December 2024:

- Interdisciplinary Practice PGDip

The effect of and reasons for the variation are to allow sufficient time for the provider to be assessed for indefinite degree awarding powers.
The OfS has made an order awarding Spurgeon's College with full taught degree awarding powers (Full DAPs).
The effect of this Full DAPs order is that Spurgeon's College is authorised to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelors' degrees and taught masters' degrees) for a time-limited period beginning on 1 September 2022 and expiring on 1 December 2025.
University College of Estate Management was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) in 2012. This was renewed by the Privy Council on 12 November 2018, with an expiry of 31 December 2024.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for University College of Estate Management by removing the time limit. This variation takes effect from 1 September 2022.
The effect of this variation is to enable University College of Estate Management to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelor’s degrees and taught masters’ degrees) on an indefinite basis.

The OfS has made an order awarding University for the Creative Arts with full degree awarding powers at research level.
The effect of this Full DAPs order is that University for the Creative Arts is authorised to grant research awards for a time-limited period beginning on 1 September 2022 and expiring on 30 November 2025.
University for the Creative Arts continues to hold degree awarding powers for all taught awards on an indefinite basis.

2021
Arden University Limited, formally known as Resource Development International, was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 September 2014. This order expired on 31 August 2020.
The OfS previously authorised Arden University Limited to grant all taught awards for a further time-limited period between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021.
The OfS has now varied this DAPs order for Arden University Limited to remove the time limit.
The effect of the variation is to enable Arden University Limited to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelor’s degrees and taught masters’ degrees) on an indefinite basis.
This variation takes effect from 1 September 2021.
The OfS has made an order awarding the College of Legal Practice Limited new degree awarding powers (New DAPs).
The effect of this new DAPs order is that the College of Legal Practice Limited is authorised to grant the following specified taught awards for a fixed term beginning on 1 February 2022 and expiring on 30 April 2025:
- Master of Law in Legal Practice
- Master of Science in Legal Practice
- Master of Business Administration in Legal Practice
- Postgraduate Certificate in Legal Practice
- Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

Hull College Group was awarded time-limited foundation degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 January 2016.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for Hull College to extend the time limit for a period of one year, to 31 December 2022. This variation takes effect from 1 January 2022.
The effect of and reasons for the variation are to allow sufficient time for the provider to be assessed for indefinite degree awarding powers.
The OfS has made an order awarding Lamda Limited with full taught degree awarding powers (Full DAPs).
The effect of this Full DAPs order is that Lamda Limited is authorised to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelor’s degrees and taught masters’ degrees) for a time-limited period beginning on 1 August 2021 and expiring on 31 October 2024.

The OfS has made an order awarding ICMP Management Limited with full taught degree awarding powers (Full DAPs).
The effect of this Full DAPs order is that ICMP Management Limited is authorised to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelor’s degrees and taught masters’ degrees) for a time-limited period beginning on 1 September 2022 and expiring on 30 November 2025.
The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF), formally known as ifs University College, was awarded time-limited degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the privy Council in January 2010 for a period of six years. On 2 January 2016, the order was extended for a further six years with an expiry date of 1 January 2022.
The OfS has varied the DAPs order for The London Institute of Banking & Finance to remove the time limit.
The effect of the variation is to enable The London Institute of Banking & Finance to grant all taught awards (all degrees up to and including Level 7) on an indefinite basis.
This variation takes effect from 2 January 2022.

TEC Partnership, formally known as Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education, was awarded time-limited foundation degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 August 2013. This order expired on 31 July 2020.
The OfS previously authorised TEC Partnership to award foundation degrees for a further time-limited period between 1 August 2020 and 31 July 2021.
The OfS has now varied this DAPs order for TEC Partnership to:
- Extend the time limit on TEC Partnership’s authorisation to grant foundation degrees to 31 October 2024.
- Extend TEC Partnership’s authorisation by level to include authorisation for TEC Partnership to grant awards up to and including Bachelor’s degrees for a time-limited period commencing on 1 August 2021 and expiring on 31 October 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable TEC Partnership to:
- Continue to grant foundation degrees until 31 October 2024.
- Grant awards up to and including Bachelor’s degrees for a time-limited period commencing on 1 August 2021 and expiring on 31 October 2024.
This variation takes effect from 1 August 2021.
The OfS has made an order awarding TEDI-London new degree awarding powers (New DAPs).
The effect of this New DAPs order is that TEDI-London is authorised to grant the following specified taught awards for a time-limited period beginning on 1 September 2021 and expiring on 30 November 2024:

- MEng in Global Design Engineering
- CertHE in Global Design Engineering

The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) in 2008, which was renewed by the Privy Council on 1 September 2014, with an expiry of 31 August 2020.
The OfS previously varied this DAPs order for The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust to extend the time limit to 31 August 2021.
The OfS has now varied this DAPs order for The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust to remove the time limit.
The effect of the variation is to enable The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust to grant all taught awards (including foundation degrees, bachelor’s degrees and taught masters’ degrees) on an indefinite basis.
This variation takes effect from 1 September 2021.

Warwickshire College was awarded time-limited foundation degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 September 2014, with an expiry date of 31 August 2020.
The OfS previously varied this DAPs order for Warwickshire College to extend the time limit to 31 August 2021.
The OfS has now varied this DAPs order for Warwickshire College to:
- Remove the time limit on Warwickshire College’s authorisation to grant foundation degrees.
- Extend Warwickshire College’s authorisation by level to include authorisation for Warwickshire College to grant awards up to and including Bachelor’s degrees for a time-limited period commencing on 1 September 2021 and expiring on 31 December 2024.
The effect of this variation is to enable Warwickshire College to:
- Grant foundation degrees on an indefinite basis.
- Grant awards up to and including Bachelor’s degrees for a time-limited period commencing on 1 September 2021 and expiring on 31 December 2024.
This variation takes effect from 1 September 2021.
2020
Arden University Limited, formally known as Resource Development International, was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 September 2014. This order expired on 31 August 2020.
The OfS has authorised Arden University Limited to award taught awards for a one-year fixed term between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021.
The effect of this order is to enable Arden University Limited to continue to award relevant degrees until 31 August 2021, with the same effect as the provider’s previous authorisation from the Privy Council. The reasons for this order are to allow sufficient time for the provider to be assessed for indefinite degree awarding powers and to reflect the provider’s change of legal name, which took effect after the previous Privy Council order.
BPP University Limited was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 September 2013.
The OfS has varied this DAPs order for BPP University Limited to remove the time limit. This variation takes effect from 1 September 2020.
The effect of the variation is to enable BPP University Limited to continue to award relevant degrees for an indefinite period. The reason for the variation is because the OfS is satisfied that the provider continues to meet the DAPs criteria and is operating its powers securely. Therefore, it is proportionate to allow the authorisation to now be given on an indefinite basis.
The OfS has made an order awarding Dyson Technical Training Limited new degree awarding powers (New DAPs).
The effect of this New DAPs order is that Dyson Technical Training Limited is authorised to grant the following specified taught awards for a fixed term beginning on 1 September 2021 and expiring on 30 November 2024:
- BEng (Hons) in Engineering Degree Apprenticeship
- BEng (Hons) Degree in Engineering.
The reason the OfS has made this New DAPs order is because it is satisfied that Dyson Technical Training Limited is ready for New DAPs and has the ability to operate securely as a degree awarding body.

The OfS has authorised Regent’s University London Limited to grant taught awards for a fixed term between 29 September 2020 and 31 August 2024.
The reasons for this order are that the OfS is satisfied that the provider meets the degree awarding powers criteria and will operate its powers securely. The effect of this order is to enable Regent’s University London Limited to award relevant degrees between 29 September 2020 and 31 August 2024.
TEC Partnership, formally known as Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education, was awarded time-limited foundation degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 August 2013. This order expired on 31 July 2020.
The OfS has authorised TEC Partnership to award foundation degrees for a one-year fixed term between 1 August 2020 and 31 July 2021.
The effect of this order is to enable TEC Partnership to continue to award relevant degrees until 31 July 2021. The authorisation has the same effect as the provider’s previous authorisation from the Privy Council, including any restrictions.
The reasons for this order are to allow sufficient time for the provider to be assessed for indefinite degree awarding powers, and to reflect the provider’s change of legal name, which took effect after the previous Privy Council order.

The OfS has varied this DAPs order for BPP University Limited for a period of one year, to 31 August 2020. This variation takes effect from 1 September 2019.
The effect of and reasons for the variation are to extend the current authorisation by 12 months, to allow sufficient time for the provider to be assessed for indefinite degree awarding powers.
Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education was awarded time-limited foundation degree awarding powers (DAPs) on 1 August 2013. This order expired on 31 July 2019.
