Funding for student mental health
We have run three funding programmes to help universities and colleges develop practical and innovative interventions, and sharing outputs and evaluation of their projects with the higher education sector.
We do not currently have any open funding competitions focused on student mental health.
The programme funding, which began in 2018, is part of our approach to supporting the mental health of higher education students.
The three programmes all took a collaborative approach and brought key stakeholders such as providers, charities and government departments together to develop strategies for preventing poor mental health and improving support for . Successful applications were each able to demonstrate a commitment from senior leadership, a robust evaluation plan and an approach that involved students.
Many of the project outputs and evaluations are now available in our library of resources for student mental health.
