Students' union guide to the Office for Students
Communications toolkit
This page contains resources that students' unions and representatives can use in their work with student communities.
Harassment and sexual misconduct
We work to help students feel safe on campus. Universities and colleges must take certain actions to protect their students from harassment and sexual misconduct.
We have published a guide for students that sets out our requirements. The guide includes:
- what students can expect from their university or college
- what to do if those expectations are not met
- what students can do if they have experienced harassment or sexual misconduct
- where students can get independent help and advice.
What can students’ unions do?
Students' unions can help their student communities by raising awareness of these requirements and helping the student community know what to expect.
To find out more about what you can do to tackle harassment on campus, we've published a student guide to harassment and sexual misconduct.
We’ve also published a toolkit that includes social media postcards and posters that students’ unions can use to support our condition of registration for universities and colleges to protect students from harassment and sexual misconduct.
There are 10 social media postcards and three posters.
You can download the postcards to use on your social media channels.
You can download and print the posters to display in your facilities.
