We are running a series of workshop events across England to give higher education students and senior staff the opportunity to share their views on the OfS’s future strategic direction.
A general election will be held Thursday 4 July 2024.
Board members and staff of non-departmental public bodies, such as the OfS, are now required to comply with Cabinet Office General Election Guidance 2024.
This means that the OfS is subject to pre-election restrictions which significantly affect our ability to continue with our planned public activities
As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining events in this series. We are sorry that we need to do this and hope it does not create inconvenience.
These workshops are aimed at students and senior staff at higher education institutions who are interested in helping the OfS decide its future strategic direction.
Each event will follow the same format. We will invite views on what matters to students about their education and then explore what aspects of higher education the OfS could focus on to protect this interest.
Who should attend?
We have space for two individuals from each higher education institution to attend one of the five events. Attendees should include one student representative (e.g. a member of a students’ union) and one provider representative (e.g. the accountable officer).
