Webinar: Protecting the interests of students during industrial action

Find out more about our expectations on how universities and colleges should support students before, during and after industrial action.

We have published expectations and related student insight for universities and colleges on how they should support students before, during and after industrial action.

We've done this to promote greater consistency across the higher education sector in how institutions respond to disruption, so that students' interests are protected, and all are treated fairly, regardless of what or where they study.

We're running this webinar to give universities and colleges an opportunity to find out more and ask questions. You can submit questions in advance when you register or ask them on the day.

John Blake, our Director for Fair Access and Participation, will be leading the briefing along with OfS colleagues.

We'll explore:

  • The six expectations for universities and colleges to protect the interests of students.
  • The research that shows industrial action can significantly disrupt students' academic experience.

We want to know:

  • What you think about the new expectations and research, and to what extent it's helpful.

Who should attend

This webinar is for people working at universities, colleges or sector bodies who have an interest in, or are involved in consumer protection rights for students.
