The Office for Students (OfS) has announced the appointment of Philippa Pickford as its Director of Regulation.
Philippa will join the OfS from Ofgem, where she is currently Director, Delivery and Schemes. During her time at Ofgem Philippa has led teams working on a range of issues including setting financial controls and incentive regimes, ensuring effective competition and monitoring the financial resilience of companies.
Susan Lapworth, chief executive of the OfS, said:
'I am very pleased to welcome Philippa to this pivotal role at the OfS. Philippa is a hugely experienced regulator and brings with her a wealth of experience of working with regulated organisations to bring benefits for consumers. This will be important as we continue to deliver the OfS’s strategic goals for quality and standards and equality of opportunity.'
Philippa Pickford said:
