Compliance with the 2017-18 accounts direction

Providers that are registered with the OfS are required to comply with the accounts direction under ongoing condition of registration E3.

It is through registration, and so compliance with the initial and ongoing conditions of registration, that providers can access public funding (when registered in the Approved (fee cap) category and eligible for funding), and that their students are able to access tuition fee loans (all registered providers).

The accounts direction ensures that providers disclose information in their financial statements that is important for transparency.
