Data analysis of unconditional offers: Update

The proportion of students receiving 'unconditional offers' when they apply ahead of gaining their A-level and other Level 3 qualifications has grown rapidly since 2013.

This report extends analysis from our January 2019 report and our October 2019 update (see below) to include higher education data from the 2018-19 academic year. With this additional year of data, we analyse whether applicants placed through an unconditional offer are more or less likely to continue with their studies after the first year.
