Degree awarding powers assessment report for Warwickshire College

The OfS has varied the Degree Awarding Powers (DAPs) Order for Warwickshire College to authorise the provider to grant bachelors’ awards on an indefinite basis with effect from 1 January 2025.

This report details the assessment carried out by an assessment team. It sets out the team’s advice about the quality of and standards applied to higher education courses and whether the provider continues to meet the DAPs criteria.

The OfS has placed restrictions on the college that prevent it using its powers to award qualifications with other institutions though a validation or subcontracted partnership. The restriction has been put in place due to the assessment identifying uncertainty about the provider’s long-term financial viability and sustainability. The provider is taking steps to improve its financial position in line with a notice to improve issued by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, which regulates and monitors the college’s financial sustainability.
