Assessing new questions and response options

In 2021 we began a review of the National Student Survey questionnaire. The overall aim of the review was to ensure that the questions and response options remain relevant and fit for purpose, and that they incorporate best practice for Official Statistics and large social surveys. 

As part of this review, we carried out a large scale pilot of two alternative questionnaires. We set out the findings from the pilot in the report below.
