Uni Connect: Guidance on priorities

Uni Connect partnerships can advise schools and colleges on what higher education information, advice and guidance and outreach provision is available in their area.

What are our expectations of partnerships?

We expect Uni Connect partnerships to:

• act as a point of contact for all state secondary schools and colleges in their local area
• signpost schools and colleges to appropriate information, advice and guidance and outreach activities and interventions, where such provision is available
• signpost to local higher education provider-led attainment-raising activity for state secondary schools, where such provision is available
• host a website providing contact information and details of the local Uni Connect offer
• work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the signposting offer is coherent with other information, advice and guidance and outreach offered to young people and adults in the local area.

What do we hope to achieve?

Signposting aims to offer an efficient and low-burden route for schools and colleges to engage with higher education outreach and enable schools to engage with attainment-raising activity.
