Innovation in learning and teaching

Evaluation

We appointed LSE Enterprises Ltd as our external evaluator to identify and share lessons learnt from and between the 67 funded projects. The external evaluation team is led by Dr Claire Gordon and Dr Colleen McKenna.

Aims of evaluation

  • To contribute to an enhanced understanding of current research in the area of innovation in learning and teaching
  • To draw out learning, to inform government policy and institutional practice, about how well-managed innovation works, with a focus on the student perspective and the role of students in the innovation process
  • To enhance understanding of how the process of innovation in a specific higher education context might enable or inhibit wider take-up
  • To support projects to effectively assess their impact
  • To ensure learning from the projects is identified and shared for the benefit of the wider higher education sector
  • To inform recommendations to government on future learning and teaching policy, including the tools for supporting innovation.
