Intentions After Graduation Survey

Course fees and PG loans

Consistently over the years, students select course fees as the main factor they would take into account when deciding whether to progress to further study or not. Moreover, one student out of 10 includes ‘fear of debt’ as a factor that could affect their decision to study at postgraduate level.

New questions have been introduced in 2016-17 to understand to what extent postgraduate loans can shape students’ intentions. Almost 70 per cent of students who intend to continue studying – either immediately or in the future – say that a loan would make a great difference in supporting their studies.
