Analysis of degree classifications over time - changes in graduate attainment from 2010-11 to 2018-19

This report sets out the results of our analysis of changes in the proportion of first and upper second class degrees awarded between 2010-11 and 2018-19. We report on how graduate attainment has changed over this period, and the extent to which these changes can be statistically accounted for by changes in certain characteristics of the graduate population. This analysis has been undertaken at both the sector level and the provider level.

Consultation on regulating quality and standards in higher education

The Office for Students is consulting on its approach to regulating quality and standards in higher education. Since 2018, our focus has been on assessing providers seeking registration and we are considering whether and how we should develop our approach now that most providers are registered.

This report presents the final evaluation of the Office for Students (OfS) Addressing Barriers to Student Success (ABSS) programme, a £7.5 million programme that ran between March 2017 and October 2019. The programme aimed to scale up pedagogical and student support approaches that had proven successful in addressing differential educational and employment outcomes, especially for underrepresented groups of students.
